We have a non-estate 2 bedroom semi-detached bungalow with open fire complete with back boiler for central heating, double glazing throughout and kept in good order. The property has reasonable sized gardens both back and front with roadside parking space at the front. The terrace leads to a dead end hence there is only access for residents. No properties overlook the bungalow from either the front or back. Our bungalow overlooks the Kyle of Tongue and ruins of Castle Varrich plus the mountains Ben Loyal and Ben Hope and at the back of the bungalow there's a wooded area and fields.
Tongue is a small remote northern coastal village set on the acclaimed NC500 route with combined post office and shop. The village also has a primary and junior school plus doctor's surgery all within 10 minutes walk away. There are also unmanned petrol and diesel pumps at the edge of the village which are payable by card only. There are two main hotels in the village each with a bar and restaurant and also a number of guest houses.
The area is Ideal for walking or cycling with Ben Hope being the most northerly of the Munro's and Ben Loyal known as the Queen of the Scottish mountains.
The reason for moving is we need to be nearer our family but will consider anywhere.
